Below you’ll find an alphabetical list of all the board game reviews on the site, including dice and card game reviews too. If you’d like me to review your game please contact me, preferably via BoardGameGeek. Be aware I am in the UK.
If you’re new to modern board games, you might want to instead start with my beginner’s guide to board and card games – which covers everything from starting a collection through to where to find all the best game info online. But if its reviews you want, scroll down for the full list: I won’t review a game after just a couple of plays and you won’t find any paid Kickstarter promotions here.
If you’re looking for a review and don’t find it here, let me know and I’ll try and add it to my list – or at least be able to give you an opinion/comparison if I’ve played it. And finally – I love feedback! Please let me know what you think of my reviews on the posts themselves: I read all comments and try to reply to them all. Even if you just want to disagree with me, I want to hear it.

Greetings Chris,
My wife and I play cards quite frequently but eventually got tired of playing the few good ones over and over again. This problem led us to developing a 2- Player card game that uses a standard 52 card deck. We call the game ‘Challenge’. It is simple to learn, a lot of fun, very challenging and skill plays a major factor. It is patterned somewhat after poker but no betting of chips or money is involved, plus it offers additional unique options that are not found in traditional Poker. My wife and I play Challenge every chance we get.
We developed this game over a period of 6 months and we just love it. We wish to share it because we think others will love it also. I am hoping that you might review this game and publish it on your site if you deem it worthy enough.
If you have any further interest, I will send you a complete copy of the game rules at your request.
Thanks, Dave
Sure, would be happy to take a look 🙂
Chris, thanks for your quick response and your willingness to take a peek. I much appreciate it.
I have the game rules on a Word Document, do you have an email address I can send it to?
Chris, you said you would be happy to take a look at my new 2-Player card game ‘Challenge’. I have not heard back where to send the game rules for your review. I also have the game rules in a PDF format.
Cheers
Hi Dave,
I would be interested in the rules of challenge.
Thanks
Russ
